Alpine World Championships 2007

The 2007 Alpine World Championships held in Åre are now over. The athletes have left, the journalists have done their job, the cameras have been removed from the slopes and tens of kilometres of camera cabling has been reeled up and taken away. The setting-up and dismantling of the equipment was simplified greatly thanks to the use of an optical fibre infrastructure. The Swedish company JMG Support used Network Electronics’ Flashlink terminal equipment to transport video and audio across the event; up-hill and down-hill as well as between the production sites. The whole event took place without a single failure, even with ambient temperatures down to -26°C and heavy winds.
